How it works

"The Putting Stroke Teacher" training aid helps golfers of all skill levels to improve these key fundamentals.

  • Perfect AIM of the putter face.
  • Repeat a consistent SWING PATH
  • Maintain the putter face SQUARE to the swing path to start the ball rolling online.
  • Improve DISTANCE CONTROL by repeating SOLID IMPACT.

The first photo on the left below shows how to practice AIMING the putter face accurately. Simply position an alignment stick on the ground behind the golfer's heels and parallel to the aim line of the putt. While standing in the setup position the golfer's own eyes can easily see if the rods resting across the forearms are parallel to the alignment stick behind the heels. When the golfer adjusts and visually confirms the rods are parallel then the putter face is perfectly SQUARE to the intended aim line. SEEING IS BELIEVING !

The SWING PATH, PUTTER FACE ANGLE, and SOLID IMPACT can all be dramatically affected by how the hands, wrists, and forearms move during the swing motion. If there is too much wrist hinging action during the swing that will cause the putter face angle to change and not remain SQUARE to the intended aim line. This can also cause the swing path to become inconsistent and prevent SOLID IMPACT. Another common action that creates the same negative consequences is too much rotation of the hands and forearms during the swing motion. "The Putting Stroke Teacher" rods easily and quickly solve these problems by using the golfer's sense of FEEL to provide effective feedback. If the golfer has too much wrist hinging action the rods will slide up and down the forearms during the swing. When you FEEL the rods sliding you know to reduce the wrist action until the rods remain stationary on the forearms during the swing. If there is too much forearm rotation the golfer will FEEL the pressure of the rods against the forearms change on each arm as the putter swings. The golfer knows to focus on maintaining gentle and equal pressure of the rods on both forearms during the swing to keep that putter face SQUARE, repeat a consistent SWING PATH, and produce SOLID IMPACT.
