The concept of Forearmputting originated from the search for solutions to common putting problems by the inventor of “The Putting Stroke Teacher” training aid Ken Hanley.
Ken is a golf instructor from Canada who came up with this concept while reading the book “ The Art of Putting” written by former Tour Pro and top instructor Stan Utley. in his book Mr. Utley explained the importance and benefit of having a golfers forearms lined up parallel to the intended aim line of a putt. Stan Utley also promotes the benefit of keeping the putter face square to the swing path of the putter during the entire swing motion which ensures the ball will roll on the intended aim line more consistently.
After developing a working prototype and receiving a patent on the device Ken Hanley met another former PGA Tour pro and now top instructor Larry Rinker. Larry explained how he worked with his father on this exact concept of having his forearms lined up parallel to his aim line in the 1990’s when he led the PGA tour in putting stats. Larry Rinker has endorsed “The Putting Stroke Teacher” since it became a very successful retail golf product.
This Tee shaped device that lines up the forearms and helps train golfers to keep the putter face square was acknowledged on Golf Channel TV “ Morning Drive” as the best training aid at the 2016 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando by “ Golf Digest” senior editor Ashley Mayo.
It is manufactured in the USA and has been distributed to more than 10 countries so far.
It has helped countless numbers of golfers from beginner to Tour Pro level improve their putting and enjoy their golf even more!
